Hi! I'm Nikki Maroon, a quilter located in the heart of Pittsburgh, PA. I love modern quilts and anything whimsical. Here's a little bit more about me:
I learned to quilt with my mom in 2002, after graduating from Bradley University with a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. I spent the next 5 years working in the lab by day and quilting my heart out by night!
In 2007 my daughter was born, and I left my lab job. I took on some custom sewing and quilting jobs to keep my hands busy, but it wasn't until 2012 that I bought my first long arm. I quickly fell in love with custom long arm quilting and began taking customer quilts within weeks. All of my work is hand guided - no computer here!
I no longer quilt for customers and I’m excited to have the time to focus on my own work!
When I'm not quilting, I like to enjoy our amazing city with my husband, daughter, and dog. I love eating good food, spending time in good company, and long distance running.
